It’s too expensive, period. The “value” argument is a dumb one, because that logic would imply a ubiquitous plugin like fabfilter ProQ should be like $1000, since compared to Gold Clip, ProQ is way more useful and valuable. Price matters and Gold Clip is not worth $250. It doesn’t do anything that much cheaper plugins can’t already do. SIR Standard Clip is as or more powerful at achieving the same results and you can get it for $50 (or less, when on sale)… heck, you can buy a full DAW for $250 and achieve exactly what you can do with Gold Clip AND also produce an entire song while adding reverbs, saturation, equalization, etc. Don’t give me the “it’s about value, not price”…. People need to hear honesty, not advertisement.

If you didn’t use MK2 and can’t speak to the functionality that was removed then this review is highly biased imo. We should also NEVER see a review of this keyboard that fails to mention it does not have a midi template editor (standard in every prior version). This means the keyboard is of minimal use with any non-NKS plugins and hardware. I understand being excited with a new purchase and do not mean any disrespect. But this keyboard is terrible imo and does way less than the MK2 for an even higher price.

I believe that in the Maschine software you can control the Midi configuration . without the need of disconnecting the USB and inserting the charging cable

I have fl key 49 almost the same :) perty. Yeah the unexpected thing on the NI keyboards is that they initialize online. Very nice... the LCD looks nice. Yeah with scripting and plugin global linking etc.. these make the experience more kinaesthetic and enjoyable imo. So does the knob act as a normal jog wheel also. I use my qcon g2 as my main transport and jog wheel. IMO jog wheels also have a certain amount of enjoyment. That almost looks like it is the jog wheel with the direction keys all in one dial... if so that is neat. I have seperate buttons for the direction keys and zoom etc.. adding the wheel and direction keys together was a neat thing the NI Kontrol S61 has if so.

If QR diffusers and a few broadband panels are “untreated” then that’s me screwed.

It might be an award winning vocal chain but it won’t help anyone get a good vocal if they can’t sing.

I’m not interested in any of this (apart from music producing) but that’s frickin incredible

Yeah that waves deal is going on Clarity is $30 until the end of today. Of their regular non deal price of way more. I got the platinum edition with a discount, it was on sale for 300, then with the discount code it is $100, but they had the deal that you got 2 free plugins with it. I was considering clarity and vocal rider as well as codex but ended up going with SSL4000G strip (would have taken E but E and V2 wern't available in the free deal) and went with the NLS bus sum plugin. These seemed like good plugins to round out what I have already and I don't intentionally play with vocals much but have been this week with some stuff from FL Cloud. The deVerb seems super useful as well as the noise reduction vocal plugins waves has, especially if working with AI vocals while supplies last as they can often have noise in them. I'm wondering if this is like reducing release transients or what but this plugin sounds great!

I definitely preferred your chain. However, as a single plugin chain the god particle is doing some very nice things. I think keeping my own EQ and Comp in the chain before the God Particle would allow still allow for some personal touches.

do you clip before the actual signal chain on the busses, or at the end of the signal chain? would that matter in this instance? like say I clipped at the beginning of the chain and then started actually processing the bus, would that change anything, assuming I level matched all of the processing as best as possible?

great video. i like star my mastering chain with light clip at very first to remove any "abnormal" spike. kazrog kclip free is my "go to" first clip. the other one, in the loudness section of the chain, is ash-ultra from acustica audio

Great song & mix! Love it! As far as Neutron, it seems that with a few tweaks you got right to the same sound on the vocal, quickly, with less plugs. Sounds like a winner to me. I'm looking into it.
